Communication Design Fall 2008 studio explores creative solutions in “Design for Democracy.” There are two assigned projects for the 10-week course. The first project challenges students to create design artifacts that mobilize college community in the participation of the 2008 U.S. election. The second project challenges students to develop effective design products that address what we can do for democracy in America, following a historical election. Students are encouraged to employ any medium they see suitable in their communication projects, work as individuals or groups.

The goal of the first project was to engage campus community in the 2008 election through visual communication. Students created/sent postcards to individuals, and installed posters/stickers all over campus. For more individual projects details check out the links to the right.
